About Our Shows
S.O.S., The Sisters of Swing can tailor their shows to fit just about any event, occasion or venue. Our shows lend themselves just as easily to intimate gatherings and stylized affairs as they do to large Corporate events.
Our 1940s sets include stylized choreography, period costumes & wigs, entertaining patter, and our signature S.O.S. vocal magic. Tight harmony with a golden blend, 40's attire, loads of wiggling, and of course...seamed stockings!
We aim to stay true to the Swing sound and to the styles of all the music we sing, but we are not imitators. There is always a great energy to our shows, and nothing "campy" about our style. Just pure class for the discerning client!
While the Andrews Sisters hits performed by S.O.S. are always a huge hit, we do offer many other fantastic songs from the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's and beyond. We've expanded our repertoire to include classic 60's numbers (Supremes, Aretha, Martha Reeves, The Cookies...) along with kickin' R&B, Funk and Country, plus Rock, Blues & Jazz solos to bring down the house!
Of course, we continue to provide the finest in swing harmony to our clients. We can now tailor our shows to include a wider variety of possible set choices.

We can arrange to have these different Musical Scenarios :
* Full 17-piece Big Band - the best professional musicians from the Los Angeles area.
* Smaller 7-11 piece Band - also the best around.
* Background Tracks - exclusive to S.O.S., these are original band recordings (full 17-piece band, commissioned by SOS), along with Combo tracks of the highest quality. SOS provides a fully self-contained show. We can work with your Sound System or can arrange for full sound equipment and Sound Engineer.
* Funk Band (5-8 pc.) or Small Jazz Combo and/or an S.O.S. set with recorded Live Band!
* Combination split show - incorporating different styles.
* Any of the above, plus recorded background music (in the same style) when we're not performing, so you'll always have the perfect music to complement your evening, from cocktails through dinner and dancing.
* You can choose to have us sing only as a Vocal Trio, or we can add a variety of solo numbers. Audiences love the way we mix it up to create a thrilling entertainment!

A few other points:
Our clients have very sophisticated palates, and we cater to that unique taste for great, classic music presented with flair and elegance. Due to the nature of our tight harmony, we are usually unable to accomodate specific requests, however we have many wonderful gems to choose from! As a group, we specialize in Jazz, Big Band, Swing, un poco Latino, and have strong backgrounds in Rock, R&B and Funk! With our Solo numbers, we can accomodate requests for certain other styles, such as Pop Ballads, Blues, Standards and R&B.
We have developed relationships with many vintage-style performers who we can contact for your event, such as a Gorgeous Swing Dancer Duo (ballroom, swing, or "Fred & Ginger")
