SOS, The Sisters of Swing is a Los Angeles-based trio, delivering "tight vocal harmony with a golden blend". SOS is Stephanie Krystad, Teresa Parente and Ember Vaughan. All smashing singers, each of the three is a discerning musician and accomplished soloist. Together, they've fine-tuned some of their favorite music to create a sound that is a once distinctive and deliciously familiar.
The trio performs vocal gems from the swing era and beyond. They stay true to the styles of the music they sing with a tradition of tasteful interpretations, never seeking to impersonate. "We're SOS -- hold the cheese!"
Always a huge hit, their 1940's selections bring Patty, Maxine and Laverne -- The Andrews SIsters -- roaringly to life. Belting out hits like "Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen" and "Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree" to beat the [big] band, their vocal blend, right-on physical style, and infectious energy sweep audiences off their feet and right back to the glory days of Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman! These are the original arrangements folks, faithfully performed in true swing style incorporating 40's attire, plenty of wiggling, and of course...seamed stockings!
While they continue to provide the finest in swing harmony to their clients, they also perform shows which include a wide variety of musical styles, such as classic Motown. In addition, each singer brings her own dynamic style to the mix, adding lush ballads, jazz standards, blues, rock and R&B to any set. (Please see www.sosharmony/aboutourshows for more)
